Multicultural Day At My Son’s School: Native Food & Cultural Clothing Plus Other End Of Year Goodies

To mark the end of the year and the winter break at my son’s school, they had a multi cultural day. Students were encouraged to come in their cultural clothing and bring some food for a potluck so as to celebrate diversity in the school.

I made Nigerian jollof rice, fried plantain and chicken. The principal of the school specially thanked me 😊. Nigerian jollof rice always saves the day 😀. They also had varieties of other nice looking dishes from various parts of the world.

I guess the students had a nice time and it was fun and exciting to see them in their beautiful regalia showcasing their culture. My son had good tales to tell about the experience.

My daughter’s daycare also had Santa Claus visit the kids and they got presents.

Two organizations also gave my children some gifts (toys), it’s been toys galore for them this December.

One of my neighbours/friends sent bags of chocolate to my children too. It has been a December to remember.
